We have a stock of local alpaca wool, naturally coloured and soft and lightweight. Gagmansbury Farm is just down the road in Pulloxhill.
Alpacas are from South America and have been domesticated in countries like Peru and Chile for thousands of years. The fibre is warm and light, and can be used for most knitting projects.
The alpacas are sheared annually and all the fleece is spun using the natural colours and range from white through to all shades of black and brown.
