Supplier Spotlight ~ Carolyn ~ Handmade Fabric Bags & Accessories

Carolyn, a crafter and a gardener, has been bringing her handmade items to the shop now for 7 years or so.

She started with plants raised from cuttings from her garden, and some crocheted bits and bobs, but now she brings her hand crafted fabric items.  She makes bags, little accessories and other bits and bobs.  Even making bags from interesting jeans.

She has a blog here where you will see many of her makes, and most of them will appear in the shop.

She doesn't take on orders but always has more stock at home, so can bring more items to the shop on request.

Recently retired she doesn't seem able to stop buying fabric, she is always looking for inspiration for new items to make and put in the shop!  She also has a few boxes full of yarn and has vowed to get kitting and crocheting this year, starting with a few baby hats.

These are her cutlery rolls - great for mini breaks and picnics, they double up as a lap tray crumb catcher.

Here is the start of a few baby hats..

They are all wrapped in cello bags now, perfect for gifts

Country Matters is open 3 days a week at the moment - Thursday through to Saturday 10.30 until 4.00
