Restocking Thursdays

Country Matters at Hexton is open from Thursday through to Sunday every week (except we are closed first Sunday of the month).  So Thursday is our day for stocking the fresh produce.  All our produce is locally sourced, and therefore will be what is in season.


We like to buy from Hertfordshire/Bedfordshire if possible, such as tomatoes, potatoes, cucumber, lettuce, cauliflower and cabbages at the moment.  To ensure that we get more variety we do have to source further afield, still as local as possible and always within the UK.  Our produce is loose and we serve them in brown paper bags if the customer has not brought their own.
